3Sun factory, founded in Catania in 2010, is set to become Europe’s largest factory producing high-performance bifacial photovoltaic modules. 3Sun Gigafactory combines research and innovation to produce new-generation photovoltaic modules that support the Enel Group in guaranteeing clean and renewable energy and building a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly world.

Bieki Solar Energy

Creation of an industrial company, (Bieki Solar Energy), with headquarters and two plants in Bizkaia, for the manufacturing of photovoltaic cells and modules, with EU state of the art technology and manufacturing standards to prove high efficiency and reliable products.

Bucsani Solar PV Project

CBUD is developing a solar PV plant in Bucsani, Girgiu County in Romania in 3 different phases. Project will involve (i) signing a corporate PPA with a private Offtaker and / or (ii) power trading at Romania Gas and Electricity market operator and/or (iii) power exchange and passing renewable auction.

Carbon

Holosolis

Holosolis announced Europe’s largest PV module gigafactory, to be built in Moselle, France. Aiming to accelerate Europe’s solar PV manufacturing capabilities to ensure continental energy security, the new production site will see the capacity of Europe’s current largest factory bested by almost 70%.

HOPE – High-efficiency Onshore PV module production in Europe

Meyer Burger Technology AG, through its group company Meyer Burger (Industries) GmbH, submitted a funding application for EUR 200 million in the EU-wide selection process of the European Innovation Fund in March 2023.

Over Easy Solar

Solarge

Solarge introduces an innovative, eco-friendly composite solar module, crafted with PERC solar cells, that is both lightweight and fully circular, eliminating PFAS materials.

STRATO® SOLAR

Satinal Spa strengthens its sustainable development plan for the photovoltaic market. An investment of 40mln € will allow, on January 2024, the opening of a new 20,000 square meter plant in the in the industrial area of Bari, Apulia.

Sunrise

NorSun AS secured a EUR 54 million grant from the EU Innovation Fund to expand current ingot and wafer capacity in Norway by 3 Gigawatts (GW).
